Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was quite mixed. The rooms were on the smaller side and a bit nosy due to its proximity to the front door, but they did have all the essentials needed. The service, especially from the gentleman at the bar/desk, was exceptional and super helpful. The location was ideal, just a short walk to key historical sites and restaurants. The dining experience had its ups and downs, with some dishes below standard but others well-cooked. Overall, not perfect but a decent place to stay with value for money considerations.
The hotel had some ups and downs. The rooms were excellent, but sadly, the high parking cost was a big negative. The classed-as-budget room with two single beds was perfect for our 3-night stay. The stairs up to the top floor might be a challenge for some, but overall, a good experience.
The hotel is in a convenient location, easy to walk around town with clean, comfy rooms and very helpful staff. However, the dining experience could use improvement with slow service at times. The location is fantastic with easy access to the city center.
Upon arriving at the hotel, I was delighted by the beautifully designed rooms, which were not only clean and well-fitted but also featured a breathtaking York Minster photographic scene on one wall. The airy ambiance, coupled with a thoughtful gesture of a mini bottle of Prosecco, made my stay extra special. However, the dining experience was unavailable during my visit, which was a bit disappointing.
I had a great stay at the hotel. The rooms were very clean and well-furnished, making our stay enjoyable. The breakfast was excellent with good food and great service. The location was perfect for exploring the city, but the room size was a bit small for a double and quite noisy at times.
My stay at the hotel was wonderful! The rooms were superb, very central to York and its attractions, and surprisingly quiet despite being in the center of York. The service was exceptional, with the staff being very helpful, friendly, and welcoming. The location couldn't have been any better for me, just a short stroll to the train station and the town. The dining experience was really good, especially the breakfast served by the polite and friendly waitress. Overall, a great value for money!
